Philadelphia Festival of Play

Hello! Thank you for taking time to check out our registry. Pop-up Play is launching its first annual City-Wide Day of Play Fesitval, which will take place on Sat. June 9th in Philadelphia, PA. This event will be led by young people for young people. Leading up to the event, Pop-up Play staff will host a blended learning course for adults (educators and youth workers) to help them prepare their young people to design and then facilitate games & activities for their peers or younger kids. The premise is that in a Pop-up day of Play, kids: Experience. Create. Lead. We are partnering with great Philly organizations like the Seaport Museum and have a goal of attracting 2000 people to the festival

We are seeking up to 5 event tents to ensure that we have some shady spaces for volunteers and for our Play Zones to help keep people safe and comfortable.
If your company has some tents they would donate (including set up and take down), that would be ideal. We are seeking table and chairs for our registration/welcome zones. We would like approximately 8 tables that are around 60"x30". See below for an example.

We are going to be covering a lot of ground at our festival and need to be able to stay in touch with key staff and volunteers, so walkie talkies will be helpful.

We are seeking a creative, organized person who can help lead our Social Media efforts leading up to and the day of (and then a few days post) event. This includes helping to craft social media messages, helping to tweet/instagram throughout the event and encourage others there too. It could mean co-constructing with a group of kids a media both (imagine a traditional photo booth created out of cardboard, etc.) the morning of the event, etc.
It will be important that this person is able to work with others, including young adults who are included in all elements of this event. #creativepersonneeded
We need to keep folks hydrated throughout the day because they are going to be working hard! So, we are seeking companies who are willing to donate water for about 200 youth participant/ leaders and 100 adult volunteers. We are looking for environmentally friendly ways to do this (so would like to avoid individual water bottles). This might be large "Gatorade" coolers with recycled paper cups, etc.

We are seeking an organization or individual who will help cover the cost of printing materials that we can give to the organizations and kids who will be helping to recruit and lead the event.
