We're coming home from 2+ years serving with Peace Corps in Jamaica!
The goal for our blog is to share our journey of trying to live simply and intentionally and to promote ideas and tips from other people and organizations who are doing the same. We hope to grow our audience by providing really useful and inspirational content. You can help boost our online potential in the following ways:
-If you haven't already, sign up to follow our blog (simplyintentional.wordpress.com), start commenting on posts, and share with your friends. If you subscribe, you can get updates automatically sent to your inbox. The more interaction we get from readers, the more we can leverage that to open doors with partner organizations.
-When our facebook page goes live, "like" it and help us share useful and inspiring content on a regular basis.
-Have twitter? Follow "intentionalproj" and help us spread whatever you find useful or inspiring by retweeting.
From May 2014 through April 2015 we are looking for opportunities to work and travel in unconventional ways, like house sitting and pet-sitting. In some situations, payment is not necessarily required- free rent may be all we need. Please tell us if you- or someone you know- may be interested. We'd consider going anywhere in the country or world, but here are some specific times and places where we'd especially like to house sit:
-late May, late June: Salem/Portland
-late August/September/early October: France
-late December/February: Hawaii
From May 2014 through April 2015 we are looking for opportunities to work and travel in unconventional ways, like house sitting, pet-sitting, driving someone's car across the country, managing an organization's social media, etc. Please tell us if you- or someone you know- may be interested. We'd consider going anywhere in the country or world, depending on our schedule.
-house sitting
-pet sitting (no unruly dogs)
-cross-country vehicle delivery
-social media management
-building a blog or basic website
-tutoring (French, Spanish, English, etc.)
-event planning

Our goal is to grow our blog, Simply Intentional, by visiting and reporting about organizations, communities, and people who are living simply, creatively, sustainably, and/or unconventionally. Your recommendations of people to interview or places to visit will point us in the right direction (think: urban farms, non-profit cafes, creative community centers, educational retreat facilities, off-the-grid families, and intentional co-housing communities).

In our future travels, we're hoping to do some camping. Most items we just want to borrow (July/August 2014).

-Backpacker's stove
-Compact cookware/utensils
-Folding camp chairs
Borrowed or new:
-2 compact sleeping pads
-2 sets hiking poles
Michelle could use a bike when we return. Preferably something not too heavy. We may take it on our summer road trip but otherwise would mostly use it in Oregon. Could be loaned for a couple months or up to a year.
Help us visit friends and family we haven't seen in two years by sharing your miles with us. We'll be traveling mostly on Hawaiian and Alaska Air.
